A Night Out

Last night I went out with some friends and it wasn't until we were too far from home that I realized...

my camera battery was dead.

Obviously I'm picture obsessed so I was really bummed out but then I decided this would be my iPhone's night to shine. I take pictures with my iPhone all day long when my camera's out of reach but never bother to use it at night because the flash isn't that great. I'm glad that I was finally forced to test it out because what I learned is, it actually takes decent pictures as long as you're closer to the object! As you'll see below the shots of people further away are pretty bad but it's really the memories, not the quality, that I'll cherish from this night's photos.

A Pretty Sweet Going Away Party

Last night we had a tiny going away party for a friend and decided to make it a "sweets" theme. We had pizza for dinner and then an "ice cream bar" complete with a ton of delicious toppings and waffle bowls, cupcakes, and baked brie with strawberries and oranges inside. Dinner and dessert were followed by our usual dance party and girl talk.

Treasure Hunting

D has the day off so we went thrifting this morning. After sorting through all the muumuu's I managed to find a few pretty pieces but let me tell ya, it was hard! Hawaii seriously has the worst thrift store options of anywhere I've ever been. That's why I'm extra excited for our mainland trip next month! Oh the dresses! Oh the jewelry! Oh the baby clothes! Oh the lack of muumuus! I can't wait. 

California and Kentucky, I know you'll be good to me.
